As humans we are very good at giving – see how people respond when others are faced with disaster – but we’re generally pretty poor at receiving. We grow up being taught that there are ‘givers & takers’ and being a ‘taker’ is seen as a  derogatory term.

There is another type though; a ‘receiver’. Being a ‘receiver’ is someone who accepts help and support from others with grace and gratitude.

Without ‘receivers’ there can be no ‘givers’.

I keep the telephone of my mind open to peace, health, love and abundance. Then, whenever doubt, anxiety, or fear try to call me, they keep getting a busy signal and soon they’ll forget my number.

Do not be dismayed by the brokenness of the world.
All things break. And all things can be mended.
Not with time, as they say, but by intention.
So go. Love intentionally, extravagantly, unconditionally.
The broken world waits in darkness for the light that is you.
